There are many different ways to volunteer at Mari’s Place for the Arts—from hands-on assistance in the classroom to behind-the-scenes support! No matter where your strengths lie, we’ve got a place for you to use your unique talents to impact the lives of children and teens in Snohomish County.
Flexible Time Commitment
We sincerely appreciate the time our volunteers give to Mari’s Place for the Arts. Some volunteers commit to a few hours per month and others are here nearly every day. As long as we have an understanding and open communication, we’re happy to work around your desired schedule!
Volunteer Locations
Mari’s Place for the Arts volunteers may volunteer in our studio located at 2321 Hoyt Avenue in Everett, Washington, or in various off-site locations throughout Snohomish County.
Background Checks
The safety of our students is our top priority. Because of this, we perform background checks on all volunteers at no expense to the volunteer applicant.
Volunteer Opportunities
We are frequently looking for volunteers to fulfill the following roles. If any of these speak to your heart, please select them on your volunteer application!
Instructor
Volunteer instructors are needed! Instructors work directly with our students to provide guidance and instruction in a positive environment that sparks each child’s curiosity and confidence.
Instructors must commit to teaching at least one weekly class for a full 12-week session. Each class is one hour, one day per week. If desired, instructors may teach more than one class during a session. Additionally, instructors are encouraged to stay and teach for multiple 12-week sessions if they would like to do so!
We are currently looking for Instructors for the following classes:
- Drawing
- Painting for Beginners
- Ballet
- Cultural Dance
- Ballroom Dance
Classroom Assistant
Classroom Assistants are the secret to our success! Assistants help set up classrooms, support the instructor, and share encouragement with our students. No art, dance, or music experience is required—a warm smile and a willing heart is all you need!
We request that Classroom Assistants volunteer for one day per week for an entire 12-week session. This may include 1-3 back-to-back classes, depending on the class schedule.
Event Coordinator
Would you like to create magical memories for our students? Volunteer as our Event Coordinator to help plan student recitals and our annual fundraiser gala!
Administrative Assistant
